Does your child really need a tutor?

If you think about using a profitable tutoring program, ask about the credentials of the tutors they employ and how they perform their tutoring meetings. A number of centers may allocate a different tutor for every meeting or children may work with tutoring software. If you are going to pay for your child’s tuition take care you are receiving your money’s worth. Here are several definite questions you should think about in your search:
 • Does your child need a tutor for every subject or just for one or two? Ask possible tutors if they have expertise in each subject or if they specialize in definite subjects.
• Get to know about tutor’s qualifications. A tutor should be an expert teacher with experience or as a minimum a graduate student working towards a teaching degree.
• Learn if the tutor’s teaching methods and curriculum coincide with your state’s standards.
• Tell the tutor about learning style or temperament of your child.
