| Private Tutors and Homeschooling | One of the most urgent questions parents ask online is: What is the difference between private tutors and homeschooling? There is certain difference between these two definitions and here is the explanation of each of them:
1. Home tutors
Home tutors are professionals, who teach children different subjects at home. For example: if the child has certain problems with English and he (she) needs some additional help, private tutor will come to your house and train your child in the subject. As usual, private tutor teaches one subject and completes school or homeschooled education of the child.
A lot of parents hire private tutors regardless of where their children go to school. Such popularity of tutors is easily explained: the majority of students have problems with one or two subjects. Since the testing in the end of each grade was introduced, some parents hire private tutors to secure that their children continues through the grades with appropriate pace. The reason why tutors are hired for homeschooled children is different: they just need to gain proficiency in subjects. Private tutors teach subjects, which parents are unable to teach.
2. Homeschooling
Homeschooling is a situation, when parent teaches their child at home, without sending them to public school. Parents are teachers of all subjects for their children. There are almost all attributes of regular schools in homeschooling: syllabus, classroom and daily based teaching. Homeschooled children learn fast and are proficient in many subjects: they show very good results. If a child does good, parents may decide to hire home tutor and deepen the knowledge of their child in certain subject.
Homeschooled children get quality personalized education. They get the sufficient amount of attention from the “teachers”, are challenged enough and don’t risk to get lost in the crowd of peers.
