What a Tutor Should Remember

happy-learningIt is undoubtedly that one half of success of the tutor depends not only on knowledge but also on his (her) personal characteristic. For tutors one of the most important things is to catch (or even attract) attention of the student and try not to lose it. The main task for a tutor is to teach the student, to give necessary and some extra information on the subject studied, improve child’s knowledge on the concrete theme, developing skills and of course improving marks from a certain subject.

There exist a lot of things that you (being a tutor) should keep in mind when you have a desire and an aim to provide your pupil with all necessary knowledge.

Try always to be well-mannered and polite with your students. Remember their names, learn their phone numbers in order to always keep in touch with them if it is necessary. Treat your young students like partners or adults without condescending; forget about talking to them and treating like a baby. Explain the information on the theme of the subject clearly but avoid boring explanations and rude tones while you are telling something.

Don't underestimate learning abilities and level of your student’s education. The child should not feel uncomfortable or helpless during studying. Encouragement of getting some extra knowledge should look attractive, useful and a real fun for your learners. In other case they can shrink into themselves which may cause harmful consequences not only for the process of achieving knowledge but on child’s attitude to own personality and to the tutor.help-to-succeed

Be friendly, make jokes, smile, and sometimes be unpredictable. The process of tutoring should be enjoyable, pleasant process and not just for you but also for your learners. Tutor should be a person who helps to succeed in learning, in opening new horizons. Private tutoring can be exceptionally rewarding.
